When I began designing Jo Phillipe, I envisioned a fragrance collection that is undeniably Californian. Beauty in a bottle. “Quintessential California Luxury” came to mind but I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what I was trying to communicate. It was merely a feeling. Fast forward, I can now articulate exactly what Quintessential California Luxury is so that I can share it with you within the Jo Phillipe Collection and we can feel the feels together!

Sophistication is multifaceted artistic expression. California is certainly a hub of this sophistication evident in world renowned culinary art, innovation and design. Jo Phillipe’s physical design is intentionally sleek, modern and minimalistic; reminiscent of quintessential west coast aesthetic. The clear, silver and sage color scheme is intended to simulate a glass palace situated on a coastal bluff near fragrant redwoods, jasmine florals and juniper leaves.
From yoga retreats in the Santa Monica Mountains to spa treatments in the desert oasis of Palm Springs, Quintessential California Luxury emphasizes exclusive, rejuvenating experiences for locals and visitors alike. My launch scent, Bordeaux, has a rich mood boosting composition with accords that influence relaxation and rejuvenation. The lemon, rosemary, jasmine, sea salt and honey and geranium notes all contribute to a grounding burst of joy feeling on your skin.
